2024 Young Sculptors Exhibition

From February 26 to May 3, 2024, Felipe Lopez participated in the 2024 Young Sculptors Exhibition, presented by the National Sculpture Society (NSS) in partnership with the Fantasy Fountain Fund (FFF). The biennial show featured 23 figurative works by 16 sculptors under the age of 30, each representing a new voice in contemporary sculpture. As one of the selected artists, Lopez exhibited alongside peers from across the United States, presenting works that reflect his distinctive use of recycled metals and his commitment to sustainability in art. The exhibition served as a platform to highlight emerging sculptors whose practices combine technical mastery with originality in concept and form. The jury of selection — Roger Martin (FNSS), Angela Mia (FNSS), and Brittany Ryan (NSS) — chose works based on skill, composition, and message, reinforcing the high standards of the exhibition. Each participating artist received a one-year Associate Membership in NSS, with additional monetary grants awarded to three finalists by the Fantasy Fountain Fund. For Lopez, inclusion in this prestigious exhibition underscored his growing presence on the national stage and reflected his alignment with the NSS mission of advancing sculpture as a vital and evolving art form.
